Optometrist/Ophthalmic Assistant: Northcliff, Gauteng

A Surgery Centre based in Northcliff is seeking to employ an Ophthalmic Assistant who will join an Ophthalmology practice.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations / consultations, vision tests and analyse results
- Diagnose refractive errors and sign problems
- Prescribing glasses and contact lenses
- Repairs and adjustments
- Evaluate patients for the presence of diseases and conditions such as diabetes or hypertension
- Diagnose sight problems
- Prescribe spectacles, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Promote eye and general health counselling
- Practice administration

**Qualifications**
- Optometry Qualification
- HPCSA Registration

- Self-motivated and have great organizational skills
- Strong command of the English language and a second language
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong communicator
- Ability to work under high pressure
- Willing to work as part of a team
