Maintenance Foreman

Position duties are as follows but not limited to:

- The effective execution of all maintenance and repairs (hands on) to machinery
- Maintenance Foreman will participate and do inspections prior and after
- The Maintenance Foreman will be required to be available for major maintenance activities
over weekends when planned
- First line management skills - Important since millwrights will be reporting to this position.
Experience required in personnel management (day to day coordination, leave planning,
performance management)
- Provide the necessary assistance to artisans working on breakdowns.
- Ensure that the work completed by the artisans as well as operator schedules complies with
the laid down standards.
- Actively be involved in all maintenance/service tasks, closely working with agents to ensure
equipment standards and supplier maintenance conformance at all times.
- Perform HAZOP and RCM analysis for all equipment ensuring optimal maintenance on
equipment.
- Do fault finding on failures and below par plant performance. Actively give feedback in
productivity meetings.
- Do fault finding and take corrective action. Timeous completion of problem solving, coaching
staff on problem solving process.
- Report on production availability and continuously strive to improve productivity of
department. Report on breakdowns
- Do reparation based on "Best Practices" 5’S and GMP
- Check that parts are available before work on schedule commences
- Ensure job cards are available and complete before morning meeting is held. It also needs to
be submitted daily
- 2IC in absence of Maintenance Manager
- Actively managing to drive down utility usage
- Work according to Clover’s safety procedures
