We at RCL FOODS are in search for a **Fitter **to join our **Speciality **Business Unit. The role will be based in **Centurion **and report to the **Maintenance Foreman**. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines does not deteriorate.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the machines do not deteriorate.
Inspect drives, motors, belts, bearings, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
Assemble, install and / or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
Ensure that your department complies with all Health and Safety requirements.
Diagnose and correct mechanical problems.
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
Direct and train workers to install, maintain, mechanical equipment.
Record maintenance and repair work performed.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
Perform general machining on lathe and milling machine as required by engineering team.

**Minimum Requirements**:
5 years of experience post Trade test.
N3 Mechanical Engineering plus qualified Fitter/Millwright/ Fitter and turner.
Basic Electrical experience will be an advantage.
Knowledge in welding, machining, cutting, compressors, conveyor belts and LP gas equipment.
Oven burners and bakery equipment.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS**:
Ability to communicate on all levels.
Ability to work systematically and good interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Report writing and analysis.
Mentoring apprentices.
Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby.
Be able to comply with Food safety standards, and previous FMCG experience will be an advantage.
