MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The IT Manager will have central accountability for our digital infrastructure and systems to equip the business for current and future technology requirements. They will ensure optimum performance, service levels and uptime are maintained, and enable our digital systems to integrate seamlessly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage and maintain our IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network, security, connectivity, VOIP, point of sale and card payment systems.
- Manage deployment of changes and upgrades, testing procedures while maintaining system stability and integrity.
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures are maintained to protect against data loss and system downtime.
- Responsible for management of user access, security permissions and licensing.
- Implement strategies to automate, continuously monitor and improve the performance, accuracy and efficiency of our digital processes and systems.
- Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
- Manage IT support team through coaching and performance management to ensure delivery of effective user support.
- Responsible for the management of assets and control of the annual budget to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Manage vendor relationships and performance to ensure effective support to the business.
- Provide support for critical production systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

Knowledge required:

- Understanding of the FMCG retail and\or hospitality industry.
- Experience with ecommerce and point of sale platforms.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery procedures - Able to contribute and collaborate across functional teams.
- Understanding of integration, process automation and AI technologies and how to leverage these platforms to implement a business solution.
- Understanding how to utilize technology in a cost-optimized manner.

Skills required:

- Experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, DNS, DHCP
- Managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure
- Experience managing Fortigate Firewalls, routing, VPN, Vlan & SDWAN
- Proficiency in Azure Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Intune Endpoint management & Defender.
- Network and system monitoring using PRTG.
- Knowledge of web-based technologies including RestAPI, Odata, JSON, XML and JavaScript
- Power Platform including Power BI, Power Automate & PowerApps
- Advanced SharePoint Online skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- BCom Information Systems or relevant IT certification
- 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- MCSA, Azure Cloud or equivalent qualification(s)
- Valid South African ID
- Valid drivers license
- No criminal record
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills
