In this position, you will report to the Director Sales and Services, Central & East Africa
This position is mainly located in Centurion, Gauteng.
TEAM YOU BELONG TO
You will join the Sales Team and work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as Mining Customers, Engineering & Drawing Offices, Complex Proposals Commercial Team, Project Execution Team, Key Account Managers, Business Development Managers, Product Lines, Quote and Order Management Teams and Product Support Teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsible to deliver improved customer satisfaction levels
Support customers with areas of improvement and optimizations on their plants
Responsibility to create the relationship with the key people at the site and share leads with the organization, connecting key interfaces
Responsible to deliver profitable business growth from allocated sites. Will be measured on KPIs such as Order intake, NPS, Net Sales etc.
Engage with GM Level to supervisor level stakeholders on customer sites
Walk customer plants and generate leads to take forward
Focus on after-market business, yet is able to identify the investment/capex opportunities and is responsible to convey the customer requirement to capex sales
Plans and has full visibility to the activities of any Metso function at the site
Seeks and coordinates for best resources and channels to be used for customer facing activities
Understands customer business and is capable to argue Metso’s added value
Drives site sales activities together with cross organizational site account team and understands customer’s capex and opex related decisions and buying timetable
Drives account planning and implementation (strategy, relationship, site level budgeting, activity plan, sales roadmap and plan)
Must be able to execute on actions and have a deep understanding of concentrator plants
Maintains and shares information of installed base, performance and shutdown schedules and plan
Orchestrates customer satisfaction surveys and closed loop activities and ensures continuous improvement activities
Supports Accounts Receivable and Payment Collections
Active member of the MA Key Account/Global Key Account team I/A
WHO YOU ARE
Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelors’ Degree (BEng / MEng) - Mechanical Engineering / Process Engineering / Technology Management
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with customers in the Mining arena
Sales or Account Management skills will be advantageous
Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment
Computer literate in Sales Force, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI and PowerPoint
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust
Strong communication skills and a serving leader
