**Minimum requirement**
- Matric.
- A relevant bookkeeping qualification or more than 8 years' experience as a bookkeeper is needed if no qualification is completed.
- At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Syspro 8.
**Responsibilities**
- Capturing of supplier invoices on Syspro, reconciliation, and filing of supplier invoices, and proof of payments.
- Daily capturing of bank receipts and -payments on Syspro and balancing to bank statements.
- Managing customer statements and ensuring the accuracy of transactions.
- Review and follow up on past-due accounts.
- Maintaining the filing system for Finance.
- Providing trade references on request.
- Petty Cash payments & receipts, weekly recon, and processing of petty cash.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports in Excel.
- Prepare month-end closing journals.
- Assist Finance Manager with financial information and any other administrative duties.
- Obtaining BEE certificates from suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy of financial records.
- Developing and following bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- The attendance of Stock-Takes.
- Assist the Finance Manager with the year-end audit process.
