Mongodb Administrator

Our client an IT Solutions company is in need of a MongoDB Administrator to join their team.

**This is a 1-year contract that could extend for 5 years.**

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Database installation and configuration.
- Database maintenance (patching and upgrades).
- Database performance investigation, tuning and recommendations.
- Data backup and recovery.
- Monitoring of deployment and configuration.
- Resolution of customer requests within the allocated priority base timeline.
- Generating audit and user / environment review-based reports.
- Generating capacity utilisation historical trending and forecasting reports.
- Generating any required adhoc based reports where needed.

**KPI’s**:

- Maintaining / resolving Service Desk tickets as per the designated priority assigned.
- Ensuring all work log detail and time spent reflects correctly.
- Ensuring OSI change requests are submitted on time.
- Ensuring change work implementation is completed correctly and on time.
- Ensuring project timelines are met.
- Ongoing training and certifications to be completed as per Personal Development Plan.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Relevant IT Qualifications (Diploma or Degree)

**Relevant Skills / Experience**:

- Basic Unix/Linux knowledge advantageous
- Knowledge of SQL databases
- MongoDB Admin, Unix / Linux, MySQL
- MongoDB certifications advantageous
- PostgreSQL/MySQL experience or exposure advantageous
- Creative approach to problem solving
- Exposure to/understanding of GSM technologies
- Strong analytical skills
