Assist in compliance reviews, risk & other assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental.
- Prepare and maintain relevant HSE & LWG management and performance reports.
- Participate in detailed incident and accident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Assist in promoting incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors.
- Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE & LWG training.
- Observe HSE regulations, wearing of all required PPE, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to the proper personnel.
- Assist in maintaining positive and proactive relations with managers and employees.
- Monitor the status of the HSE & LWG systems and take appropriate action to ensure that the core values of the Quality and Environmental Policy of the group as well as the internal Health & Safety policy is upheld.
- Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly HSE Meetings, schedule as needed.
- Track & report all deviations reported during HSE meetings and assist in putting the necessary actions in place.
- Assist in maintaining master documents for HSE (ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001) & LWG management system in collaboration with the document administrator and process owners.
- Monitor Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and other applicable requirements for changes and updates.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and permits.
- Assist in tracking occupational survey deviations & with implementing & monitoring relevant corrective actions.
- Assist in emergency response and compiling of IOD reports
- Quarterly planned job observations & oversee behaviour based / observation safety programs.
- Assist in administering and maintaining compliance programs.
- Report any non-compliance to local HSE laws to the process owner as well as the HSE manager.
- Assist in identifying, evaluate, manage & review significant Environmental aspects and impacts at set intervals.
- Assist in the development and support of HSE & LWG actions plans to achieve objectives and targets.
- Conduct the necessary inspections and checks to verify effectiveness.
- Assist in evaluating the status of corrective actions, audit actions and LOP lists.
- Assist in the preparation and participate in third-party audits EMS, H&S, LWG.
- Prepare & provide input to HSE management reviews

Comply with OHS Act 85 of 1993, GAR, &, machine regulation & the companys related policy and procedures.

**EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent)
- ** Certificates in HSS legislation ( SAMTRAC, ISO 45001, OHSAct, Grade A-E security, etc )**:

- Excellent knowledge of HSE principles, OHSAct & HSE Management System.
- Excellent computer literacy MS Excel/ Word and Power point.
- Security training minimum grade E
- At least 5 years experience in a similar position
