Knight Piésold Consulting (Pty) Ltd has been appointed as the construction supervising engineer on a one-of-a-kind Greenfields Road infrastructure project in the Eastern Cape, near the Kwa-Zulu Natal border. We are looking for a Senior Materials Technician to join the team.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with the construction of large road-related infrastructure projects related to geotechnical engineering and materials is required.
- Must have experience with SANRAL projects and FIDIC.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Professional registration with ECSA.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the teams involved with all the geotechnical engineering work etc.
- Expected to develop a close relationship with the Lab Manager and ensure that technical and contractual requirements are complied with.
- Responsible for the review, testing, and sign-off on all data and test reports, after verifying test results.
- Contract administration & and be able to train and mentor junior site staff.
- Communicate with site teams and the local community.
