Wayfinding Signage Draughtsman

**Descriptions**:
Read and understand architectural plans, interior design drawings and landscape architecture plans
Understand brand and customer experience - realising how this affects quantity of signs, terminology and use.
Devise wayfinding strategies - illustrating user flow and interaction points within a project, define experience assets, functional spaces and areas of interest within a project, and determine sign content hierarchy and information.
Create signage location plans - tagged, pin-pointed specific locations for each sign within a project, linked to sign-type codes, sign number and messaging content.
Create signage message schedules - a tabulated list of sign content for each sign within a project, content sequenced correctly for each specific sign, linked to the location plans
Create Bills of Quantity - a tabulated summary of all sign types used on a project with their respective quantities, linked to sign location plans.
Create general arrangement drawings of signage designs illustrating how a sign is made, its dimensions, fixing and basic detailing

**Qualifications**:
PC based, not Mac
AutoCAD - for location plans and general arrangement drawings. Should understand lisps and CAD coding to be able to develop signage tags that link to message schedules, sign codes and sign number.
BIM Revit 3D - have a full understanding of BIM coordination, linked models and how to insert and place signage designs into Revit 3D so that they function within the Revit environment and respond to architectural and ID updates. Should have skills to be able to do this as LOD200,300,400,500.
Microsoft - XL, Word - for message schedules and content management of signs
Minimum 1 year experience in a design or fabrication environment, architectural or interior design studio or similar.
Experience in AutoCAD draughting with similar components e.g. door and window schedules, landscape hardscape, irrigation, lighting, urban furniture, signage layouts and schedules.
Experience in Revit 3D in BIM coordination, model linking, object placement and parameter coding
