Research Ecologist

A declared protected area of 16 000 hectare (private big five game reserve) located near Vaalwater, Limpopo is seeking a Research Ecologist with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualifications and experience**:

- MSc in a relevant field
- 5 years minimum applicable experience

**Required nature of experience**:

- Knowledge and skills related to large mammals (wildlife)
- Vegetation ecology
- General ecology in as far as these competencies support conservation management
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Competency in appropriate software designed for specialist analyses of data is essential.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Comfortable working in a dynamic research environment interacting with fellow researchers, scientists and Reserve Management
- Undertaking general research and long-term monitoring
- Managing research programmes
- Conduct data analysis
- Report writing and scientific publication and presentation

Market related (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

**Salary**: R20 000,00 - R35 000,00 per month
