**Merchandising Management**
Monitors adherence to merchandise/display standards
Checks that pricing of products are correct
Optimises stock levels
Manages inventory
Monitors competitors developments and custome profiles
Develops and buil supplier relationships
Analyse category performance
Ensure that hygiene and housekeeping standards are maintained
**Finance**
Monitors departmental gross margins and turnover and identifies deviations
Conducts bi-annual stock take
**People management and Development**
Evaluates the performance of subordinates against agreed objectives and standards
Supervises staff
Provides input into scheduling requirements
**Operations and Maintenance**
Ensures that all equipment is maintained in effective working order
Ensures that back-ups are well maintained
**Shinkage and Security**
Controls soilage,mark downs and shrinkage
Ensures adherence to security procedures
Monitors all areas of possible loss due to theft, freebagging,fraud and/or carelessness
Opens and locks store
Attends to alarm call-outs
Ensures that cash office procedures and security checks are adhered to
**Administration**
Completes all relevant administration documentation
Monitors and checks accuracy of LAN listing with reference to incorrect barcodes and discontinued lines
Monitors and checks that price changes are actioned daily
Analyses stock reports
Confirms daily rosters and follows up on deliveries
**Customer Services Management**
Provide customers with information on store layout, product availability and customer services
Deals with customers who wish to return/exchange/repair goods previously purchased
Performs frontline duties
Handles customer complaints
**Sales Promotion**
Plans and implements sales promotions and implements execution of in-store promotions
Evaluates the success of promotional activities in-store
**Minimum Requirements**:
Grade 12 / Matric
Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role
Clothing / General Merchandise experience required.

**Additional Information**:
Competency based Interview and Numeracy test to assess above requirements and competencies. The incumbent may also be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time. This position will require transferability between stores.
