We are looking for Butlers for an international cruise ship brand

**Standard Role Summary**:
Enhance the passenger experience by providing a professional, anticipative and unobtrusive Butler service to allocated suites and balconies ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and passenger interaction.

**Primary Responsibility of the Role**:
Attend to the day to day needs of passengers within an allocated section of suites. Ensure the passenger experience is of the highest level from the very beginning of the passenger journey. Place company gifts and additional amenities in the suite prior to embarkation. Meet and greet the passengers from the designated public room and escort them to their rooms, explaining the role of Butler and the services available. Ensure all baggage is received and accounted for and assist with the packing and unpacking of passenger luggage if required. On a daily basis confirm and arrange any passenger requirements such as Spa bookings, alternative dining reservations or shore excursions. Offer pillow concierge and shoe shine services as applicable and arrange for laundry or dry cleaning for any items of clothing, ensuring a prompt service is achieved. Deliver tickets, seating cards or goods ordered to the passengers and prepare the suite for any celebrations. Provide food and beverage services on request, including planning, organising and hosting dinner parties in the suites. Deliver canapés and serve food and drinks to the passengers and their guests.
Identify and report the need for the repair or renewal of fabric, fittings and equipment within the suites and ensure a timely rectification is achieved.
Ensure the rooms are cleaned and sanitised to the correct standards, liaising with housekeeping regarding any issues. Ensure all amenities such as linen, towels and bathrobes are supplied and minibar items and fruit are kept at the required levels.
Effectively deal with any complaints and comments by passengers on the service or cabin fixtures and fittings and report these to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.

**Summary of Requirements**
Experience of working in a 4/5 star quality hotel/resort establishment as a Butler or Room Service Steward or experience of working on a cruise ship as a Waiter or Cabin Steward Good command of written and spoken English

**Certificates**
Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage

Works effectively as part of a team to deliver an efficient service, showing trust, respect and fairness in their treatment of colleagues
Communicates clearly and effectively, very comfortable talking to a wide range of passengers
Remains calm and courteous at all times
Demonstrates cultural and interpersonal sensitivity in dealings with others
Proactive in engaging with and communicating to key stakeholders
Conscientious about keeping commitments
Organised, structured and focused on the detail in their approach to work
