**JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY**

Responsible for successful planning and execution of daily activities relating to charging operations. Monitoring and recording of process relating to blasting activities (marking, drilling, charging, timing, fragmentation, muck pile distribution and loading). Coaching with regard to blast related activities

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Product Support:

- Communication, feedback reporting between shifts, to line management, mine (responsible person) and recorded in shift report book.
- Daily planning related to blasting activities (marking, drilling, charging, timing, fragmentation, muck pile distribution and loading), coaching with regard to blast related activities
- Monitoring and recording of blast related activities (face focus)
- Document control, sign off and submission of blast observation sheets, Planned task observations, mini risk assessments for filling

Maintenance:
All equipment issued to be looked after (clean and safe) & sign all registers with regard to issue and return of such equipment (personal protective equipment, cameras, distomats, clinar ruler, measuring tapes, clip boards, calculators, scales, density cups)

In general:

Education/Qualifications:

- Grade 12

Professional Experience:

- Valid Certificate of fitness
- Competent A and B
- Blasting Assistant
- Familiar with underground mining, worked previously on mines

Other skills (languages, IT, other technical knowledges):

- No criminal record
- Local language, fluent English (other languages also valued)

- Delmas, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
