**Job Description**:

- Your responsibilities will include:

- Operational understanding of how different/complex mines and processing operations operate including the interdependencies that exist between different functions and business activities, priorities and processes
- Management of value chain management within discipline, and awareness of interdependencies across value chain steps
- Commercial/business drivers in discipline, business performance variability and underlying causes that define subsequent actions
- Compliance in legislative, statutory, regulatory and permitting requirements
- Project Management

**This role is at our Rosebank Corporate Office, at a Band 5 level reporting to the Head Integrated Risk & Business Continuity.**
- Qualifications
- Recognized Scientific /Technical Degree (NQF Level 6) combined with practical experience
- Registration with a South African professional (SH or E) institution would be advantageous
- Business qualification (MBA, MBL, MDP, LDP) would be advantageous.

**Experience**
- At least five years' experience at a managerial level
- Experience in mining and/or process industry
- Proficient Risk Management understanding and applies this knowledge to pre-empt and manage issues and to create solutions
- Proficient in working across disciplines to manage risks and drive accountability
- Proficient in ensuring proactive management of employee and community health and well-being
- Proficient in analyzing data in order to identify and escalate risk
- Proficient in Embedding sustainable practice into processes within own role/area. Makes explicit links between sustainable practice and commercial benefit
