An opportunity has become available for a dynamic CA at an established environmental solutions company, to oversee the group’s financial activities and to serve in a strategic advisory capacity to the group executives.

**Responsibilities**: Overseeing the month-end process, ensuring deadlines have been met Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounts department - establishing accounting methods, policies and principles, keeping records up to date Group management accounts Submission of EMP201’s Submission of VAT201’s Accuracy of monthly processing Preparing reports and management accounts Tax management and reconciliation Bring submission of VAT and EMP returns “in-house” on e-filing Overseeing the submission of the Annual and Bi-Annual EMP501 submissions Calculation of provisional and assessed tax. Provisional calculations to be done in a manner to reduce effect on cashflow but at same time avoid penalties and interest for underestimation Annual Audit - finalised and signed off Financial Cashflow management, including management of aging of accounts receivables and payables (Keeping the age of accounts receivable as low as possible, whilst trying to negotiate favourable terms with service providers) Reporting Management Accounts - Profitability Reporting: Set-up reports to monitor and present profitability of entities, projects and customers as seen fit. Constantly improve reporting to enable informed decision making Effort to improve self (ie. Reading up on info to improve knowledge, improving Excel skills etc.) Correspondence with key stakeholders Long-term analyses and over-site of investments (profitability analysis for the long-term) Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts Management of entire audit process Oversee and manage inter-company transactions and balances Managing the payroll and HR functions
