Junior Safety Officer

We are looking for a Junior Occupational Health Safety Assistant to provide support with the Risk Management. The role will further support in the administration of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment governance. The OHS Assistant will continuously monitor the implementation of Safe Work Procedures, maintains, and updates all relevant OHS Environment department administrative duties Duties Provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment Application of HSE legislation and other regulatory requirements Identify and report unsafe acts, situations or conditions to the Line Manager Log maintenance HSE action items Support the development and implementation of the good safety governance, proactive and positive safety culture Support in Hazardous Biological Agent Legal Compliance Management Support in procuring HSE Resources Requirements: Proven experience as health safety officer Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety Outstanding organisational abilities Proficiency in MS Office Packages. Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a added advantage In depth knowledge of legislation and procedures Grade 12 Preferred Certificate in occupational health and safety

**Salary**: R12,500.00 - R16,000.00 per month
