Display a thorough understanding of internal auditing process in terms of IA standards (planning; system documentation and programme development; detailed testing; reporting administration and finalisation),

Determining the detailed scope and planning the assignment.

Compiling detailed process documentation and technical understanding (and data flows for integrated reviews).

Leading interviews/walkthroughs.

Performing/assisting with the identification and documentation of related business and IT risks and controls and identifying deficiencies.

Producing detailed audit test programs and comprehensive documentation of audit test results;
*
Documenting findings including solid recommendations in terms of corrective action plans.

*
Following-up of the suitable implementation of agreed management action plans.

*
Taking responsibility for the performance of ad-hoc project and assignments requiring research and keeping current with industry developments and requirements and

*
Completing reviews/assignments on time/ in budget, in accordance with the organisation's internal audit methodology

*
Prepare/assist in the preparation of board quality audit reports to Audit Committee and members of senior management.

*
Work directly with the Internal Audit Manager to report results of audit planning, testing, and reporting, including frequent communications in terms of the progress of such.

*
Work with and co-ordinate the work of external audit as required.

*
Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with people at all levels of the organization.

*
Strong quantitative, problem solving and analytical skills.

*
Attention to detail.

*
Fluent English required.

*
Excellent communication skills - written, oral and presentation.

*
Outstanding organizational skills.

*
Ability to serve simultaneously on special projects and ad-hoc reviews.

Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver under challenging circumstances and

Self-motivated, and the ability to work both independently as well as part of a strong, focused team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit or similar qualification

*
CIA / CA(SA) Certification a requirement
- Minimum 5 years or more Internal Audit experience

*
Big 4 audit experience preferred

*
Financial and or banking industry experience essential

*
Internal audit processes, i.e. planning, fieldwork, reporting and finalisation

*
Credit audit experience essential

*
Financial process audit experience preferred

*
