The Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD) is continuously evolving and optimising the IT landscape.
- NCMS Strategic Review Programme
- The Data Architect will be mainly responsible for defining the blueprint for managing data assets by aligning to NCMS Strategic Review programme to establish strategic data requirements and defining the architecture to meet these requirements.
- The role includes the description on how data is collected, stored, transformed, analysed, distributed and consumed.
- It also entails the definition of rules governing structured formats, such as databases and file systems, and the systems for connecting data with the business processes that consume it.

**Scope of Services Definition**
- Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of NCMS metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity.
- Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
- Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
- Create strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.
- Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance.
- Establish and maintain the NCMS Enterprise Data Model using best practice references but not limited to Universal Data Model (UDM), ISO20022.
- o Develop and maintain the NCMS Data Model based on ISO 20022 including other areas within CMD
- Maintain and identify gaps in the conceptual and logical data model;
- Maintain and update the data flow/data lineage Model(s) based on business value stream and processes;
- Data Catalogue and Business Glossary in conjunction with the Data Analysts;
- Meta-data definitions associated with the Conceptual and Logical Data Entities;
- Master Data Management Models
- Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organisation.
- Develop and promote data management methodologies and standards.
- Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
- Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
- Develop business Intelligence and Analytics Architecture patterns and align to best practice and current Data & BIA Reference Architecture
- It will also be required that the Data Architect participates in the NCMS/CMD data management workgroup.
- Furthermore, the data architect is expected to align to the business EA principles, standards, patterns, methods and frameworks that further supports the strategic goals of the department, to ensure business and IT alignment.
