**Area of Responsibility 1: Product Management of the Companion Animal Products in the Portfolio**
**Main Activities**:

- Engage in constant market analysis to identify opportunities for new products to enhance the CAP range
- Analyse both the internal and external factors that impact the performance of CA products
- Develop and execute a 3 yearly rolling marketing and brand plan for key product ranges in the CA portfolio
- Focus on new product development through the following process: Stage Gate presentations, Transfer Request, Transfer Price Request and Conception Request
- Develop plans for new products from conception through to the launch phase.
- Maximise potential of new product launches in portfolio
- Launch new products/label extensions timeously and effectively
- Monitor and track opposition actions and counteract where necessary
- Provide technical and marketing support at veterinary trade shows and CPD roadshows and webinars
- Engage in regular & ongoing communication with GMBO (Global Marketing Organisation) to ensure that portfolio strategies are consistent with Global Marketing objectives
- Conduct technical training presentations at Veterinary meetings for vets & vet nurses as well as congresses and webinars
- Coordinate effective implementation of key seasonal strategies and campaigns
- 3 Year rolling unit forecast of products in the CA portfolio updated monthly
- Provide a monthly marketing report to the Business Unit Manager

**Expected Results**:
To ensure that strategic objectives of portfolio, and net sales, margin and commercial margin targets are met.

**Area of Responsibility 2: Technical Support to CA and FPA Sales Teams**
**Main Activities**:

- Conduct technical training using formal presentations slides for TSA's on a regular basis generally undertaken at sales conferences in line with annual training plan
- Ensure constant development of technical product detail aids to support TSA's
- Engage in regular field Visits with TSA's; at least once per annum per CA TSA
- Regular sharing of Published Articles for products in the portfolio with the sales teams.
- Regular assessment on product knowledge of the TSA’s in the CA and FPA Sales team - once per month

**Expected Results**:
To have a well-trained sales team.
***Area of Responsibility 3: Adverse Drug Reaction and Product Complaint Management**
**Main Activities**:

- **Thoroughly investigate each case presented**
- **Communicate in a timely and appropriate manner (Telephonic or Personal) with all relevant parties involved**
- **Forward a closing letter to the relevant party once the case has been concluded**
- **Report the event and details to the relevant person in RSA who is responsible for managing Adverse Drug Reaction reports**
- **Submit Pharmacovigilance Reports as and when an event(s) occurs**
- **Ensure that the ADR form is up to date**

**Keep the image of Virbac positive and professional and an amicable end result for all parties involved.**

**Area of Responsibility 4: Customer Relationship Management**
**Main Activities**:

- **Develop a network of key customers and key opinion leaders in areas related to portfolio**:

- **Attend key congresses and events to support key brands in portfolio**:

- **Ensure annual face to face and online liaison with KOL's identified

**KOL's to respect Virbac as one of the market leaders and as an independent Veterinary Company**

**Area of Responsibility 5: Financial Management**
**Main Activities**:

- **Stay within expense budget with necessary savings when required**:

- **Manage expense budget allocations in order to ensure that maximum effect is derived from the expense budget**:

- **Manage allocated sales and margin budget to ensure company objectives are met**:

- **Monitor Sales & Commercial Margins and implement corrective measures where necessary**:

- **Monthly analysis of sales vs budget/last year deviation by product, by group, by sales, by margin in rands and % and ASP deviations for the CA range with corrective actions**:

- **Report monthly on key metrics at business unit level
