**Position**: Male Facilitator for Teenager with Autism
**Responsibilities**:
**Personalized Support**: Provide one-on-one assistance and support to a teenage individual with autism in various settings, including home and school.
**Skill Development**: Implement tailored strategies to enhance social skills, communication, and daily living skills based on the teenager's unique needs and goals.
**Building Connections**: Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the teenager, encouraging social interaction and engagement with peers and the community.
**Collaboration**: Work closely with the teenager's family, caregivers, teachers, and other involved professionals to ensure a cohesive and holistic support approach.
**Adaptive Strategies**: Utilize adaptive techniques and positive reinforcement to address challenges and promote positive behaviors.
**Documentation**: Maintain accurate and detailed records of progress, achievements, and challenges, providing regular updates to the support team.
**Qualifications**:
**Empathy and Understanding**: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with autism, coupled with genuine empathy and patience.
**Experience**: Previous experience working with teenagers on the autism spectrum is preferred.
**Communication Skills**: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate collaboration with the teenager, family, and other support professionals.
**Flexibility**: Ability to adapt to the dynamic and evolving needs of the teenager and their environment.
**Positive Attitude**: Maintain a positive and encouraging demeanor to create a supportive and uplifting atmosphere for the teenager.
**Start Date**:January 2024
**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R10,000.00 per month
