**Qualification & Requirements;**
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing Science
- Registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Diploma or Certificate in Critical Care advantageous
- Minimum of 1 year experience within a specialist area
- Must be vent competent
- Must have private hospital experience
- Must be available to work shifts

**Key Areas**
- Provide direct care to ICU patients before surgery and post operation in order to stabilize their condition
- Monitor patient’s vital signs
- Administer infusion therapy
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patient’s, such as ventilators
- Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications
- Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures
- Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely
- Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting
