Maintenance Electrician

A well-established non-woven têxtile manufacturing company based in **Hammarsdale** in KZN has a vacancy for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to work in their Maintenance Department.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Have an Electrician Trade Test (red seal)
- At least 3-5 years experience in electrical work in a manufacturing environment (preferably a têxtile environment)
- Experience with basic mechanical tasks and repairs
- Demonstrate initiative and pro-activeness and good problem solving skills
- Be prepared to perform shift work

Duties include:

- Install ,repair and maintain electrical systems in the factories, warehouses and production areas
- Read blueprints or technical diagrams
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and machine systems
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers
- Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using handtools and power tools
- Follow OHS Act and machine regulations
- Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment

As there is shift work and standby involved only applicants within the Inner and Outer West area will be considered.
