Jnr Racing Trader

**Job Title: Jnr Racing Trader - KZN**

**Reports to: Trading Floor Manager**

**PURPOSE**

**Essential functions (in no particular order)**

1. UPDATING BETTING RACE TIME AND ANTE POST
- Must be able to adjust betting accordingly for all manual markets and ensure that the client gets the best and right price at that time.
- Remove or close events or markets that are not available for betting.
- Send screen shots for their race meeting and all ante post markets
- Must know relevant percentages for each venue for wins and places

2. RESULTS
- Researching and capturing of all results. Must ensure that no late bets were taken. Ensure that all betdata results are correct and incorrect scratchings are cancelled and resulted accordingly.
- Results need to be in ASAP

3. MAINTENANCE AND LOADING
- Able to add a new races and create new tournaments on the system. Ensure that all data is captured correctly and all times and prices are correct. Correct race times are of paramount importance as they have a direct impact on Profit/Loss of the company.
- Making sure that no bets/bet types can be manipulated by other staff (branch counter clerks) or internet users. Disallow related (connected bets) to be wagered.
- Carrying out administrative duties, using Turfsports. Ensure that all current and future races fixtures are available for betting on time.
- Confident to release all events loaded for betting (Branches, Internet and Mobile).Ensure that data is correct on the website (Main site and Mobi site).
- Must be able to use the admin page and understand everything on the manual provided.

4. TELE - BETTING
- Laying all types of bets over the phone and follow proper procedure when handling a call/assisting client.
- Refer client to the relevant department and follow up to ensure that the client is assisted.

5. SUPPORT AND LIVE CHATS
- Attend to all customer queries and complaints.
- Assist cash branches with any customer related queries and must be able to follow up and resolve matter.
- Must be able to use all live chat canned responses accordingly and help client on live chat.

6. SCHEDULE
- Compiling the schedule for traders of all events for the day. Ensuring that this is updated when necessary.
- This needs to be split equally
- Make sure All races are included
- Make sure all ante post markets, both pricing up and updating from other sites and using bet monitor to adjust
- Also future events

7. SETTINGS

All settings for future racing, both local and international and other events like bi pots, jackpot quick mix etc.

Silks

Ordering of events as they appear on the site

Related bets

Full knowledge of admin page, giving vouchers and free bet adjustments

**Skills, knowledge and other requirements**
- Strong attention to thoroughness and detail.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Requirements: Experience and education**
- A Matric Grade 12 certificate
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Trader
- Computer literate
