**Job Purpose**
- To monitor conformance to security policies and standards on innovation projects by performing security reviews and documenting the outcome thereof. To provide guidance in the ambit of Risk Management frameworks to ensure alignment and facilitate effective escalation of risks that the projects are unable to mitigate.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with escalation of risks that the project is unable to mitigate through engagement with Risk Champions, Divisional Technology Officers and other stakeholders.
- Consult to specialists/Business Units on proposed solution, identified security/control weaknesses or preferred alternatives.
- Effective relationship building with line management in cross-functional and cross-Cluster business and risk areas.
- Ensure current knowledge of risk environment.
- Discuss risks management issues and advise on increased effectiveness of risk management in Business Units an divisions. Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI.
- Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth.
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies.
- Keep abreast of legislation and other industry changes that impacts on role.
- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and challenges.
- Contribute to building the intellectual capital of the team.
- Gain deeper understanding and knowledge of existing bank systems with focus on security inter-dependencies.
- Monitor conformance to security policies, standards and architecture, and ensure sound information and communication technology management practices.
- Safeguard information against accidental or unauthorised modification, destruction or disclosure.
- Monitor for conformance to security policies, standards and architecture.
- Assist/facilitate risk management to innovation projects.
- Ensure effective risk management for issues introduced through the innovation projects.
- Assist in continuously reviewing and improving workflow and process efficiency.
- Review, analyse and follow-up on operational risk reports.
- Ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
- Assist in the implementation of risk management processes and tools within the Division.
- Operationalise risk management methodology and tools.
- Review risk profiles for completeness and quality, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist with operationalisation of Risk Management Produce reports according to agreed time lines, due dates and standards.
- Provide guidance and support to the Group Technology environment on risk reporting, risk management and risk escalation.

**Required Exposure/Experience**
- Information security administration
- Banking or financial services exposure
- Data Management
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees
- Essential Certifications- Fundamental SOA
- Minimum Experience Level- 3-5 years experience in three or more of the following:
- Operating in the IT environment with wide knowledge of the various IT technologies
- Experience in risk assessment, management and compliance
- Architecture and/or Design
