Our mining client with operations in the DRC have an opportunity for a Procurement Superintendent to join their team to be based in Johannesburg at their Corporate Offices. This position will involve travel to the DRC at least 1 week per month. This role reports directly into the Supply Chain Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
Overseeing the procurement of all materials and services for the mining operation
Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure compliance with all regulations
Managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts
Managing a team of buyers (some of them in DRC, others in Johannesburg)
Conducting market research and identifying new suppliers
Maintaining accurate records of all procurement activity

**Requirements**: Qualification and Skill

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
8+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of success in a mining or manufacturing environment
Good understanding of the DRC market
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
