Job overview

My client, a leading manufacturer of catering and baking equipment, is looking for a Press Brake Programmer/Draughtsman to join their team in Bellville South, Cape Town.

If you look at Laser Cutting and Manufacturing companies, they have draughtsman in the drawing office that design and draw parts and know how to operate the bending machines.

Once the parts are designed it need to be laser cut and bend and his/her function will be to program the bending machine.

Key responsibilities
- Need to draw parts on solid works and auto cad and be able to model parts to make a complete assembly
- Program the bending machine according to drawing specifications
- Update current drawings and make new drawings for projects
- Supervise the bending machine to improve productivity

Required Skills and Knowledge
- At least 3 years experience in a Factory environment and be able to work as a team with previous experience as a Press Brake Operator and Draughtsman
- Experience in draughting on solid works
- Strong management/supervisor skills
- Experience in sheet metal bending and forming
- **Own transport** and be able to come/go to work when working overtime.
- Sense of responsibility
- Positive attitude and enthusiastic
- Safety Conscious (Any previous safety course an advantage,)
