Metal Machinist

**Key Purpose**

To produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.

**Responsibilities**
- Sets up and operates machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.
- Measuring components to ensure accurate fit of manufactured components.
- Turning accuracy to within 0.01 mm
- Experience with Lathe including a CNC Lathes.
- Fanuc control experience.
- General Drilling, Milling and Grinding.
- Ability to work on a variety of machines.

**Qualifications / Experience**
- N3/N4 National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
- Turner Trade Test (or related Machinist/Tooling)
- Minimum 5 Years experience within a similar environment
- Servicing the steel industry previously as a Machinist would be an advantage
