CNC Turner

Are you an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer looking to join a successful specialist engineering company in Brackenfell, renowned throughout the industry for engineering excellence for quality and precision products? Due to increased workload and machine investments, they are looking to recruit a CNC Turner / Lathe Setter/ Operator / Programmer to work on a day shift or rotating shift pattern.Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience within this environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Loading raw materials onto the machineChoosing and loading the correct cutting tools into the machine
Adjust machine offsets to the desired product specifications
Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process
Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on the machine
Completing quality control documentation during and after manufacturing
Cleaning and maintaining the machines
Training new staff on machine operation producers
Maintaining accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, as well as knowledge of general and preventative maintenance procedures
Performing daily safety checks and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment and eliminate all hazards
Use of various hand tools, equipment, and materials to complete, inspect, test, and clean mechanical instruments and/or implant assemblies and subassemblies

**Education**:
Technical Matric

Qualified Toolmaker or Fitter & Turner

Proven experience as a CNC machinist with expertise in both milling and lathe operations

Proficiency in programming CNC machines
Must have CAD experience
Reading and understand engineering drawings
Programme CNC Lathe and/or milling machines

Capable of reading and understanding drawings
Setting and operating

Programming and Operating CNC Lathes and Milling Machines helping the company meet production requirements and deadlines

Programming experience with Fanuc controls

Ability to operate more than one machine

Experience of working on machine castings an advantage

MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Previous experience of 5 - 7 years in CNC industry

Must have mechanical aptitude

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Afrikaans & English)

Ability to interact with customers, and management in a professional courteous manner

Ability to problem solve and time management

Excellent in math

Able to work well with a diverse team
