AA Finance is currently undergoing a transformation, driving a global functional agenda that will deliver improved commercial support for the business and global processes that balance risk mitigation with efficiency and effectiveness.

The purpose of Finance Business Improvement (FinBI) team is to govern and optimise the AA Finance global processes on a sustainable basis and to ensure that AA Finance has the requisite process, systems, data and people capabilities to deliver and exceed business expectations. The FinBI team includes the Finance Global Process Owner organisation together with essential supporting capabilities (e.g. Innovation, Automation, Continuous Improvement, Performance Measurement) required to identify, define and deliver opportunities for operational performance improvement.

**Job Description**:
The purpose of this Anaplan role is to manage the ongoing system administration, improvement and support of the Anaplan models across Anglo’s Finance function. This role will initially support the in use models and will be involved in the roll out of further models as necessary and the onboarding of additional business units. Partnering with the business units, Group Finance and Global IM as the go-to-system management for the global end-user community will be a crucial part of the role. This role is also responsible for identifying ways to make processes more efficient, offering continuous improvement recommendations, developing and delivering system enhancements, maintaining consistency of use and providing training to the Business Unit and Group Finance & Accounting teams

**Key Responsibilities**:
As an Anaplan Specialist, you will be responsible for:

- Be actively involved in discussions with Group Finance functions to understand business requirements and process
- Be able to translate/document requirements to user stories
- Take a holistic architect view of the design across models and drive standardisation and consistency in design and build.
- Design and build Anaplan models and modules to support the requirements and business process and drive improvement in the use and design
- Configure, create, and maintain all elements, rules and complex calculations in Anaplan to meet business need
- Create and administer user roles and permissions and create and maintain users in Anaplan
- Manage and monitor master data and data flow from source system to Anaplan and data from Anaplan to target system, especially with HFM
- Implement quality codes and processes using Anaplan and Anglo best practice and monitor and optimise performance
- Provide training to end users on Anaplan processes and on how to use the tool for Financial Planning
- Produce and maintain associated documentation including training material, user and admin guides, change policy
- Follow Anglo best practices and security protocol, minimise risk and ensure integrity of the system
- Address any audit and controls requirements (external or internal)
- Highlight resource and skills gaps
- Support local BU use where capacity allows
- Facilitate a network of local champions/super users
- Maintain an awareness of software developments liaising with the vendor and through external networks

**Technical Skills**

**Qualifications**:
Degree in relevant discipline and/or professional qualification, e.g. degree in accounting, business administration or management information systems, CA CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent

**Technical Knowledge**:

- Experience in systems design, development, build, implementation and support within the Financial Planning processes using Anaplan or other multi-dimensional analytical systems such as Hyperion Planning, Essbase etc in a large listed plc
- Strong understanding of Financial Planning terminology and experience collaborating with FP&A users
- Expert Excel skills and ability to translate Excel models to Anapla
