We are on the hunt for a skilled and reliable **handyman** to join our maintenance department. You will be responsible for all upkeep and repair duties including maintaining various buildings owned by the company, identifying the need for repairs, responding to clients’ maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment.

**Responsibilities**
- Clean facilities by sweeping, dusting etc.
- Perform maintenance and electrical repairs
- Paint and fill gaps or crevices (on walls, sidewalks etc.)
- Undertake light installation or carpeting (e.g. build cabinets)
- Repair equipment or appliances
- Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Respond to clients’ maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide clients with support and guidance on maintaining their equipment.
- Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs.
- Change building windows
- Installation of tiles
- Welding
- Installation and door repairing

**Duties**
- Carry out tasks within specified time limits
- Ensure compliance to applicable codes, Legislation and procedure including health and safety
- Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work
- Report to Line Manager
- Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
- Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole
- Contribute towards the efficient running of the team
- Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven experience as handyman
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Basic math skills
- A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Solid experience with Painting, Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical systems.
- Extremely organized with good communication skills.
- Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
- Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.

**Hours**:Your usual hours will be from 8am to 5pm. However, you will be expected to work as and when necessary to meet the needs of the team and your targets.

Your job will involve travel to sites within the agreed area.
