**Divisional Director:SSA**
**Purpose**:
Lead Bayer Consumer Health business in South West Africa, with full P&L responsibility across the region. Develop, prepare and execute the CH Africa Growth Strategy to ensure the sustainable development and growth of the Consumer Health Division and maximize market potential of Bayer CH brands.
**Scope (global, regional or local)**:
Cluster of countries in South West Africa, including adjacent countries to South Africa (Namibia, Botswana Zimbabwe, Madagaskar, Mauritius, Zambia, Malawi) as well as English speaking countries in sub-Sahara Africa, such as Nigeria, Kenia, Ethiopia and others
**Key Tasks**:
- Responsible for Profit and Loss of the CH Division as well as market share in assigned territories.
- Develop and implement CH Africa Strategy via Commercial and Marketing Plans to achieve annual sales / profitability targets and market shares.
- Monitor and control the attainment of these targets and initiate operational and strategic measures to further improve the business.
- Propose and proactively execute necessary actions to protect CH business interests in case of deviations and threats from the external environment.
- Provide leadership and direction to develop a high performance culture in the organization.
- Leverage Bayer Consumer Health Centers of Excellence guidelines via appropriate implementation to drive efficiency.
- Identify and develop high potential people, in line with Bayer guidance, to take over the key responsibilities in the local organization and for key positions globally. Build a succession plan for the local organization.
- Analyze and exploit market opportunities in the Consumer Health sector and develop market entry strategies and co-operations whenever in line with the CH Strategic Direction and financial objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring that all activities within CH are compliant with country legal requirements and Bayer Corporate requirements.
- Ensures that all staff are trained and regularly updated with Compliance Requirements.
- Lead Sales and Operations planning process and partner with Product Supply to manage Forecast, Inventory and Service levels. Included is, together with functional colleagues, the management and oversight of third party suppliers
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Strong leadership skills, with a bias for decision making and driving implementation in a VUCA environment against a long term strategy
- Ability to identify, recruit and retain talented people and deal with problem cases
- Strong communication skills and preferably some marketing experience
- Proven ability to lead cross functional teams
- Sound financial management skills
- Ability to delegate and give clear direction
- Good Collaboration skills - networking internally and externally
- Higher education, university degree
- Around 10 years of industry experience
