The Junior Bookkeeper at IconAF is **responsible for,** As a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

**Responsibilities & Duties**

The responsibility of the Junior Bookkeeper is not exhaustive and may change from time to time as decided by Management.

**Business Responsibility**:

- Drive monthly general ledgers, Creditors and Cashbook processing to trail balance.
- Ensure all entries are accurately captured in the general ledger within reporting
deadlines.
- Ensure preparation & review of all general ledger reconciliations within reporting
deadlines.
- Identify and correct any accounts processing deficiencies.
- Prepare monthly management packs within reporting deadlines.
- Preparation of applicable schedules ancillary to the reports.
- Prepare general ledger, trail balances and supporting schedules for audit and
address audit queries

**VAT**
- Assist in timely preparation VAT calculations and reconciliations.
- Assist in timely submission and payment of VAT returns.

**Key Performance Measures**:
1. Accuracy in maintaining records

2. Meeting timelines

3. Day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process

4. Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book.

5. Bringing the books to trial balance stage.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Matric
- Basic processing of creditors, debtors and cashbook required.
- Advanced competency in MS Excel.
- Experience in Accpac essential.
- Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Analytical thinker and problem solver.
- Proactive, responsive and deadline driven.
- Entry-level accounting related qualification.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: Up to R10 000,00 per month
