**Description**:

- The Senior Credit and Collections Manager is responsible for the provision of expert knowledge in collection and negotiating terms of payment on overdue accounts with Vodafone Business and consumer customers and influences the customer operations strategy.The Senior Credit and Collections Manager focusses upon the management of a team of Credit and Collections professionals who provide customer accounting, internal and external collection, high usage control and credit check advice and administration. Minimising financial risk to the organization by assessing and advising on the creditworthiness of prospective and existing customers in line with the credit and collections policies and procedures.Typically reports to the Head of Credit and Collections.

**Job Responsibility**:

- Influences strategic decision making related credit management, collection and negotiation plans to support the achievement of the customer operations strategy;
- Leads the delivery of activities regarding credit management (e.g. endorsement of no-debt, remittance matching, credit notes etc.) in order to collect debt amount and prevent involuntary churn due to debt;
- Leads the delivery of registering debts into insolvency proceedings, eventually inheritance proceedings and reporting to management teams on payments coming in and forecasting cash;
- Uses advanced analytical thought to assist in understanding the customers
- needs about what drives their debt, negotiates and advises on collection of overdue bills and takes appropriate action to recover overdue payments;
- Accountable for the ledgers (in a specific segment) ensuring all customers are contacted and chased for payments in line with Vodafone standards;
- Leads and manages a team of Credit and Collections professionals, and ensures that they deliver debt negotiation, collection delivery and credit management activities;
- Builds excellent relations and works collaboratively with colleagues across functions in order to minimize financial loss;
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, guides and influences the team in communicating effectively with external parties (e.g. debt recovery agencies, courts, etc.) and supporting sales teams by providing information about status of customer credit;
- Supports internal negotiations at a senior level, and ensures account managers and billing services for the customers pay to their contractual terms;
- May have accountability for budget in area.
