Data Scientist

**Role: Data Scientist (Associate Consultant Level) - Financial Modelling**

**Location: Century City, Western Cape**

**Salary: R70 000 - R80 000pm**

**Hybrid: 1-3 Days**

**The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Development of PD models, EAD models, LGD models, Survival analysis
- Use of Markov Analysis for Portfolio Level Provision Forecasts Models
- Profit model development - historic and forecasted
- Provide best practice consulting advice
- Analyse reports and results to solve problems
- Compile professional consulting reports and presentations
- Develop close relationships with clients to identify additional areas for development
- Collaborate with internal teams on joint projects
- Drive new data science product innovation within the analytics team

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 4 years of experience in consumer credit analytics, focusing on Financial Modelling.
- BSc/BComm in statistics, engineering, mathematics, finance or related field
- Strong analytical abilities
- Good knowledge of SQL, Python or R
- Excellent working knowledge of Financial modelling and associated techniques
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and work under pressure
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Strong presentation skills
- Proficient in Excel, VBA, Word and PowerPoint

**Work Location**:
Based at the office in Century City (Hybrid working - 3 days per week office)

The role may involve travel to client and alliance partner sites in South Africa and the EMEA Region.

**Salary**: R70,000.00 - R80,000.00 per month
