Patternmaker & QA Head

**Division/Department**:Design Room

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:Patternmaking, training new pattern makers and ensuring perfect garments are produced by the sample room. Complete responsibility of sample garment room's quality and production.

**DUTIES**:
**Sample Room Management**
- Manage the workflow in the sample set.
- Manage sample set procedures.
- Manage markers stock & relevancy - on digital and ordered physical accessibility.
- Manage trims in sample set with monthly stock take.
- Training new pattern makers
- Periodic travel to Swaziland facility to assist with QA checking and skills development.
- Patternmaking

**Quality Assurance**
- Quality checking of sample garments
- Ensuring quality and specifications of seals and fits
- Completing AQL reports for garments
- Completing of workbooks timeously.

**Effective Client Liaison**
- Ensuring all information regarding each sample is conveyed correctly to the sample room.
- Timeous and accurate feedback to clients on requests.
- Ensuring all changes made to workbooks are affected immediately.
- Liaising with client’s quality controllers to ensure specifications are met.

**Ad Hoc**
- Patternmaking
- General Administration of order processing where necessary
- Assist Management when required

**Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:

- Matric
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and in person

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Patternmaking: 3 years (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (required)
