- Set production goals, monitors, and manages all aspects of production.
- Sets quality benchmarks and manages/assesses all production according to these standards.
- Manages inventory levels and ensures that effective cost control processes are in place and followed
- Communicates and reports back regularly with senior management and support functions.
- Uses technology to plan material requirements.
- Manages a team of assemblers to ensure quality, productivity and safety on the assembly line.
- Overall responsibility for the spare parts department and stock levels in the spare parts department.
- Ensuring zero downtime on the production line.
- Provides timely and accurate feedback on performance reviews and disciplinary problems, material shortages, equipment problems etc. when required or appropriate.
- Ensures on-time delivery and manages the flow of products.
- Ensure BOM’s are accurate
- Ensure systems are followed, and improved upon including using Job Cards and ensuring proper control is maintained
- Accurate and timely production reporting
- Continued assessment of cost reduction opportunities through the utilization of resources to remove process costs and improve efficiencies
- Senior Management will rely on you to provide advice, feedback and you need the initiative to focus on improving efficiency and quality of products without supervision.
- Maintains and improves quality levels by ensuring that all work processes are performed correctly and accurately

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bcom or National Diploma in Supply Chain or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years in a Production role
- Thorough, hard-working, passionate and driven
- Result and outcomes driven
- A stickler for control and details
- Person needs to thrive on detailed planning not haphazard execution and guesswork
- Quality must be front of mind and must be brave enough to reject poor quality. Needs to implement quality assurance systems.
- Experience managing whole factories/departments.
