**Specialist Buyer**
Established Retail Supplier - an opportunity to take over the ground work and grow this new portfolio

**Criteria**:
**- Tertiary qualification is critical**

**- Corporate retail buying experience or Specialist experience in buying of Caps, Peak Caps, Bucket Caps, Baseball Caps, Beanies and more is critical**
- You will need an understanding of stock allocation, the right stock, the right store at the right time for client sales optimization
- High attention to detail
- Flair for numbers
- High energy, passionate about fashion
- Able to function and excel in a fast-paced work environment
- Team player
- Advanced Excel proficiency

**Daily functions**:

- Develop commercial merchandise programs of each client
- Ensure that you are ahead of trends and that each collection represents the client’s value expectations
- Prospecting for new challenges and new customers
- Product development
- Product sourcing
- Keep abreast of national and global trends
- Overseas travel where applicable
- Tracking retail competitor activity
- Planning promotions and markdowns
- Internal communications with all buying teams
- Review weekly sell-in and sell-thru allocations
- Attend and host Client or vendor meetings
- Client relationship building through meetings, range presentations, reviews and negotiations
- Supplier relationship building through meetings on product development, sources for range presentations
- Maintain margins set for each client
