Field Technician

We are seeking to employ Field Technicians who have previous experience in both the wireless and fibre industry. You are required to work in a team and will provide assistance and support to clients through installations and maintenance. The role involves some amount of physical labour, as you would have to lift equipment, and overhead cabling would require you to work at heights.
**Requirements**:
- Matric certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- Communicate in English and Afrikaans
- Reliable cell phone
- At least 2 years industry experience
**The following is not required but will be advantageous**:
- Electrical experience, particularly in the lines of DC 12V/24V/48V
- Solar Installation experience
- Experience with Mikrotik equipment
**Responsibilities**:
- Attend to client installations, maintenance, recoveries and breaks
- Attend to infrastructure maintenance and repairing of equipment
- Administering all network services and performing tests on various equipment and circuits.
- Monitoring all services, identifying issues and resolving any problems in equipment
- Install and configure telephone systems for communication infrastructure, administer installation of PBX digital sets
- Contribute to excellent client service during field visits
- Document the issues and remedies which will be helpful in future
- Be able to work at heights
- Ability to work with hand and power tools
- Willing to travel and work on a standby rotational roster
- Be able to follow instructions with regards to scheduled work
- Administrative tasks
- Adherence to health and safety requirements
- To conduct a JRA (Job Risk Assessment) before commencing with the work.
- Monitoring and tracking of tools as well as stock used and recovered
- **Remuneration ranges between R 8000 - R 10 000 depending on experience**_
