**Workshop Foreman Job Description**

The Workshop Foreman is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the efficient operation of the workshop, overseeing the quality of repairs and maintenance work, and managing the team of technicians. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of workshop staff, including technicians and apprentices.
- Oversee and ensure the timely completion of all repair, servicing, and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets the required standards and customer expectations.
- Assign tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and technical issues as needed.
- Ensure the proper use of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage and track job cards, parts, and inventory for ongoing projects.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical support to workshop staff.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to ensure productivity and quality.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in automotive or mechanical workshop management.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs, servicing, and diagnostics.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in workshop management software and systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff and customers.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

**Experience**:

- Automotive: 1 year (preferred)
- Supervisor: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Code B Drivers license (required)
