**Quality Assurance Mgr Job requirements**
- A minimum of a BTech or BDegree Quality Management (NQF7) OR equivalent technical stream;
- **Professional registration with a recognized statutory Council and -** **a minimum of 5 years’ exp in a Quality Management position, with at least 3 year exposure in built environment and/or mining sector - **_**International certification in ISO9000 as auditor or equivalent**_

The main purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and improve the quality management framework (QMF), standards, processes and procedures for the built environment and ensure compliance thereto in the Co & able to:

- Develop the Group’s quality management framework, procedures, processes and standards for the built environment, and ensure that it is appropriately communicated, adopted and implemented by all stakeholders.
- Advise and guide the business in the implementation of the QMF systems (policies, procedures, standards etc.) and the prioritization of QMF activities.
- Provide training and create awareness to facilitate understanding and adoption for appropriate implementation.
- Coordinate the testing process of products and equipment/raw materials by laboratories and/or testing facilities for quality and content validation.
- Identify, communicate and facilitate the implementation of changes in the applicable legislations and

standards on new prescripts regarding quality management and quality assurance in the Co.
- Create a Quality Assurance (QA) baseline and assess levels of compliance (to applicable

**- Develop a framework in alignment with international quality management system (QMS- ISO9001) and set progressive targets to meet compliance levels as per generally accepted industry standards;**

**- Conduct inspections and compile non-conformity reports (NCR) and keep records thereof, track and drive closure of NCR across all operations and/or projects;**
- Recommend mitigating measures, guide and monitor the implementation of the mitigating measures

and ensure that deviations from and non-conformance to the policy, procedures and standards are addressed
- Ensure that all major and registered projects have controlled QA plans, and registered in keeping with acceptable standards or adopted framework;
- Prepare management reports for all audits, findings and NCR, and engage role-players in drafting improvement plans;
- Develop a universe for all related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various codes of work.
- Develop study material (manual) and deliver/coordinate the training of all technical and operational staff as per QMS.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to address cross cutting issues, e.g. non-compliance or new initiatives.
- Exposure in highly technical, projects and complex operational environment.
- **extensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management legislation;
- Building and Construction Regulations (OHS Act 85);**

**- Food health and safety requirements (HASAP);**
- auditing and continuous improvements framework;
- ISO9001 Quality Management System;
- emergency or disaster management/recovery knowledge and skills;
- food safety legislation knowledge and skills;
