A vibey, newly revamped trendy spot in Stellenbosch, is looking for a solid Kitchen Manager with a good track record and no job hopping. This is a large restaurant, with high volumes. 280 pax. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible primarily for staff leadership, for administrative functions of the kitchen, food wastage system, complete food ordering system and stock management. (GAAP is the system currently used) If you do not hear back within 3 days, you have not been selected to proceed..

Stock and Kitchen Management**:Ensure that all related Standards Operational Procedures are implemented and ** Responsible to ensure that all stock management (food and crockery) is performed correctly **Stock is ordered via procurement ** Stock take to par level, **Waste management system is implemented ** Ensure accurate stock takes **Kitchen equipment as per procedure ** Health and safety guidelines are followed **Monitor temperature control on fridges and freezers ** Kitchen Manager report Staff Management **Conduct probation evaluations ** Ensure staff training and development plans are managed Health and Safety **Implementing and managing HACCP controls ** Immediately investigate all hazards reported and implement measures to control or eliminate such hazards Policies and Procedures**:Ensure training of policies and procedures takes place ** Deviations from procedure must be managed **Ensure that standard operating procedures are implemented Equipment Management ** Fixed assets movement and disposal - Authorisation needed by Management on movement or disposal of assets. **Manage and maintain asset stock ** Report any discrepancies **Ensure accurate stock counts on assets ** Ensure that equipment is always clean n advantageous Opening and closing duties:

- Will be required to open and close certain days. Experience and Knowledge:

- Previous staff management experience **Previous experience in stock management ** Health & Safety knowledge and experience Skills **Critical thinking and problem solving abilities ** Report writing and admin skills **Professional communication skills ** Computer proficiency **Excellent leadership ** Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Specific Requirements **Good references ** Clear health record **Clear credit record ** No criminal record Must have own car/transport Live in the area (Stellenbosch and surrounds)

**Salary**: R15,000.00 per month
