**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in Drafting and/or reviewing legal letters, contracts and agreements and monitor legal obligations under agreements to ensure compliance, as requested.
- Assist in the formulation, implementation and/or amendment of Company policies.
- Handle communication with the clients, witnesses as instructed
- Proofreading the legal documents as required.
- Prepare case briefs and summarized depositions and testimonies
- Scheduling appointments, meetings, depositions, as directed
- Conduct investigations and research
- Filing pleadings electronically with lawyers/ courts as directed
- Monitor deadlines and prioritise matters accordingly
- Assisting with presentations to existing clients, prospective clients, and other industry related seminars.
- Prepare weekly legal reports
- Manage all legal files (electronic and manual)

**Qualifications, competencies, knowledge and experience required**
- Relevant legal qualification
- +3 years experience in a the legal field
- Demonstrate strong drafting skills, proofreading, and attention to detail.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate to attorneys, staff and clients.
- Must be flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities and to follow up and follow through.
- Able to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple, detailed tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and delegate to resources available.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and consistently deliver high quality work product.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Administrative office procedures, practices and equipment: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Drivers licence (required)
