**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Min 2 Years Housekeeping supervisor experience
- Hands on Problem Solving and the ability to remain calm and work effectively under pressure
- High level of computer literacy so your IT skills needs to be above average
- Customer service driven with outstanding communication and active listening skills
- Friendly, courteous and service-orientated
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
- Effective communication with staff as well as Guests and Clients
- Honest and trustworthy beyond approach
- Quick learner with great attention to detail and strong teaching skills
- Presentable/Professional appearance and well spoken
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - exceptional telephone etiquette and mannerisms a must

- Be Fluent in English and proficient in Afrikaans

- You will be required to work some weekends and after hours
- Positive Demeanour, Good Stress Tolerance, Adaptability/Flexibility, Time Management, Detail Orientation, Multi-Tasking, Planning and Organizing a must
- Must have a valid drivers license and at least 2 years driving experience

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect apartments, office, laundry, vehicles etc to ensure quality standards at all times
- Prioritize room cleaning, and assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Identify and report preventative and any and all other maintenance issues, safety hazards etc to the maintenance department
- Ensure uniform, nametags and personal appearance are clean, hygienic and professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees and clients
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Managers.
- Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner
- Complete required Housekeeping paperwork, including reports, worksheets, activity logs, and checklists
- Use checklists to ensure that cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meets designated standards.
- Select appropriate cleaning chemicals and necessary personal protective equipment for various surfaces and cleaning jobs, following OSHA regulations and corporate standards
- Complete incident reports for any incidents or accidents that occur during shift
- Housekeeping Coordination: Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards at all times
- Serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties
- Encourage and motivate employees to perform their best, take responsibility for tasks and assignments, make decisions and provide input on possible improvements
- Assist management to ensure that employees have the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs (e.g., supplies, equipment, and inventory).
- Ensure that employees are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job
- Ensure employee compliance with company standards and policies at all times
- Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines for shift or departmental operations to employees and ensure that they are understood and met
- Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently
- Serve as employees' first point of contact as part of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
