Layout Artist

**Job Purpose**

As a Layout Artist, your primary responsibility will be to create visually appealing and effective designs for various signage projects. Working closely with project Production Manager, Project Managers and other team members, you will translate creative concepts into compelling layouts that meet the client's specifications and project requirements. This role requires a keen eye for design, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in design software.

**Qualifications and/ or Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a layout artist, preferably in the signage industry.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Corel-draw.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and colour theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Duties and Responsibilities, **include but are not limited to the following:

- Generate creative and innovative design concepts for various signage projects.
- Clean up artwork for production departments by ensuring that all logo type artwork is correct and ready cutting & printing.
- Develop detailed and accurate layouts for a variety of signage projects, including but not limited to outdoor signs, indoor signs, and promotional materials.
- Ensure that designs comply with brand guidelines, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Create and manipulate graphics, illustrations, and other visual elements to enhance the overall aesthetic and effectiveness of the signage.
- Utilize graphic design software such as Corel-draw, to create and edit designs.
- Stay updated on the latest design software and industry trends to enhance skills and efficiency.
- Work closely with the Directors, Studio Manager and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with the production team to facilitate the smooth transition from design to production.
- Set up catalogues for various interior and exterior signage to corporate details.
- Conduct thorough reviews of design drafts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
- Make necessary revisions based on feedback provided.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are effectively balanced.
- Address design challenges and solve problems creatively while maintaining the integrity of the overall concept.
