**Job Description**:

- As a Section Surveyor, you will be responsible for issuing survey instructions and notifications, communicating survey information and performing monthly production measuring.

Some of the responsibilities include:
**Effective collection, analysis and reporting of survey data**
- Gathering Survey Data _
- Capturing data onto appropriate systems
- Administering effective information recording systems
- Backing up data systems
- Performing monthly production measuring
- Gathering data for other disciplines
- Monitoring data gathering by multi-task team
- Surveying dumps
- Performing underground excavation measurements
- Effective collection, analysis and reporting of survey data _
- Analysing Survey Data
- Reviewing reports and outputs for accuracy
- Reconciling tonnage and ore reserves
- Analysing survey sample data
- Plotting survey pegs
- Evaluating planned excavation
- Effective collection, analysis and reporting of survey data _
- Communicating survey information
- Preparing appropriate reports and documentation
- Preparing payments data
- Providing draughting information
- Issuing survey instructions and notifications
- Underground excavation measurements _
- Performing underground excavation measurements
- Installing survey pegs
- Installing direction lines and grades
- Measuring excavations underground
- Measuring underground excavations
- Effective team working of the survey team _
- Working as a Survey Team
- Supervising survey teams
- Communicating with others in a verbal and non-verbal manner
- Ensuring team work expectations and plans are clear
- Ensuring high standard of housekeeping

**This role is in the Survey Department at a D1 level reporting to the Shaft Surveyo**
- Qualifications
- Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics and Science ( attach certificate )
- Advanced Chamber of Mines Survey and Valuation ( **attach certificate **)
- B Tech / National Higher Diploma or National Diploma in Survey (advantageous)
- Drone license (advantageous)

**Skills & Experience**
- At least 4 years' survey experience in Underground mining
- Experience in MicroStation and WinMinop essential
- Experience with laser scanners (advantageous)
- Engineering Surveys experience (Advantageous)
- Mineral Resource Management systems competence (advantageous)
- Medically fit
