**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title**: Site Foreman

**Job Type**: Full-time position

**Job Location**: Cape Town

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of workers, subcontractors, and suppliers on the construction site.
- Manage resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Enforce safety standards, protocols and procedures to prevent work-related accidents and injuries.
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with building codes, specifications, and regulations.
- Identify, monitor, and output accurate reports on a routine basis to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee the scheduling and delivery of materials and equipment needed onsite.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of materials, equipment, and labor usage.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and report progress and issues to the project manager.
- Perform other duties as required by the project manager.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a site foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, plans, and drawings.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexible work schedule as per the project requirements.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field is preferred.

**Certification**:

- Valid construction site supervisor or foreman certification preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials as needed.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

**Salary**:

- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
