**Vacancy Details**:
Employer**:AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society**

The above-mentioned position exists within the Correspondence Department and is responsible for the department in the achievement of set objectives and targets.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:
Outgoing Mail.
- Receive and sort mail from different departments.
- Check addresses on letters for correctness, fold and insert into envelopes.
- Record total number of letters received per department.
- Hand fold letters for tracking and / or posting via permit mail.
- Keep updated statistics for weekly reporting.

Handle general enquiries as received.
- Send/receive faxes and distribute to the relevant department/person.
- Attend to the service counter.
- Perform any other task when necessary to achieve the department’s objectives.

Sorting and packing.
- Sort mail according to postal codes.
- Pack letters in post office trays.
- Separate franking mail from permit mail.
- Sent permit mail via messenger Driver and Franking mail to Franking Clerk.

Customer service.
- Assist walk - in clients with enquires.
- Handle telephone enquiries.

Ad hoc duties
- Assist in the department as and when necessary to achieve the department’s overall objectives.
- Assist with returned mail as per roster.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION**:

- Grade 10.

**EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION**:

- 1 Year general office Administration work experience.
- Basic computer literate.
- Numerical skills.

**COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION**:

- Business communication skills (verbal and in written)
