**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree (Food Science, Food Technology, quality)
- Business English: Fluent
- Computer literacy (Intermediate)
- Code 08 Driver's license
- Travel off-site/ overnight stay
- Work shifts/weekends/public holidays

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Oversee the **quality **system in Production**
- Evaluate, maintain and updatethe quality and food safety management system according to FSSC 22000 and other requirements
- Monitor, evaluate and implement manufacturing systems and procedures to ensure that quality and food safety standards are consistently met
- Ensure that procedures are followed correctly regarding change control at Production level
- Ensure validation studies for equipment, block flow diagram and process are completed and available
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of cleaning and dis-infection systems in the plant.
- Identify qualityand food safety issues and help/support with specialist knowledge to solve the issues
- Conduct and verify that food safety and quality related training is done and encourage a proper food safety culture

**Oversee that the **quality** and food safety requirements are met**
- Coordinate and provide support to Production regarding trials, new processes and changes
- Ensure effective communication (written, verbal) with all levels on processes, products and changes that will influence quality/food safety
- Liaise with Production regarding investigation of complaints
- Assist with product recalls and withdrawals when requested
- Ensure all updated specifications from PT&T are issued and implemented per branch through the abovementioned system
- Investigate and assist Production when product, packaging & raw material does not comply to specifications (concessions)
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to ensure continual improvement and cost savings to operating procedures

**Investigate complaints, incidents and corrective actions **regarding quality** and food safety**
- Conduct, report and record investigations related to quality deviations and implement corrective actions
- Ensure effective corrective and preventative actions with Production teams

**Assist with **Quality and Food safety Audits**
- Ensure that the facility is aware and available for all related audits
- Validate that the relevant documentations are in place for the audit
- Ensure that the corrective actions of previous findings are addressed
- Ensure that proactive steps are taken to minimise risks, findings,
- Conduct and participate in regular audits to ensure that requirements are met

**General**
- Maintain a tidy work environment
- Adhere to the safety and quality code of conduct
- Report incidents and accidents to Management
