Mechanical Fitter

CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector is looking to fill the position of a Mechanical Fitter for their Engineering department. The position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Mechanic Fitter Qualification
- Relevant Trade Test
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a production environment in a similar role is essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
- Competent in MS Office
- Experience in an integrated MIS package would be advantageous (training will be provided)
- Able to multi task
- Great organisational skills
- Attention to detail as well as accuracy
- Team Player but must be able to work independently as well
- Able to work towards deadlines
- Physically fit
- Open to working shifts

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lubricating of machinery
- Fitting parts into machinery
- Service of machinery as per service guides
- Conduct preventative maintenance as per machine guides
- Repairing of machinery as and when required (inclusive of breakdowns)
- Ensure that company tools and equipment are kept in a good condition
- Adhere to the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures as well as relevant Health and Safety legislation
- Ensure that the company’s quality standards are met and maintained in terms of the efficiency of the company’s machinery
- Liaise with production departments (operators and managers) to ensure that repairs and modifications are to their satisfaction

**All applicants will be required to pass an NQF Level 2 assessment and submit themselves to a criminal record check as well as a pre-employment medical evaluation**
